JUMP ROPE/HOOPS FOR HEART
Please join Bridgman Elementary in the fight against heart disease. Help your children go online at http://www2.heart.org/goto/bridgmanes or download the Jump/Hoops App (App Store for iPhone or Google Play for Android) to make a pledge to be more heart healthy and earn a free glow in the dark wristband. Our goal is to have 100% of our students take their heart healthy challenge online. The three challenges they can pick from are adding fruits and veggies to each meal, choosing water over sugary beverages, or 60 minutes of exercise a day! When your child takes the challenge, they will become an official member of the Scare Squad.
This year, the mobile app unlocks even more fun and the Scare Squad Monsters and wristband come to life. As soon as your child raises $10 online, they will also receive Jax and Charger, two of your Scare Squad Monsters with a clip to collect them all.
Our Jump Rope For Heart Event will take place during the week of March 19th.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
The PTO collects Box Tops for Education as an ongoing school fundraiser. Whenever a student brings in a total of 50 (neatly trimmed) Box Tops in a Ziplock sandwich-sized baggie OR attached to our special monthly Box Top forms, they will receive a prize! In order for General Mills to award 10 cents per label, please make sure they are neatly cut out. Please identify the baggie/form with the teacher’s name – to ensure their class gets credit. The class with the most box tops collected each semester will win a special lunch or treat.
IMPORTANT REMINDER TO PARENTS
Elementary Parents — Remember when you pick up your child in a vehicle you must use the parking lot pick-up process. Students using the “walker door” should live in the neighborhoods surrounding the elementary school and walk (not catch a ride to avoid the pickup lane) to their homes at the end of the school day. Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated.
