This course is designed to train students for the “real world of business” and/or the college-bound student entering a business curriculum. Advanced computer programs are covered by extensive hands-on computer usage. The major portion of the course is dedicated to the following computer programs: word processing, spreadsheets, database management, desktop publishing, and presentations. A variety of other activities will be covered such as employability skills, career exploration, business planning and case studies, communication skills, ethics, leadership, project management, and international business. Students will have an opportunity to join DECA, a student organization focused on marketing, finance, hospitality, and management that promotes competition in these areas. Davenport University articulation is available.
ACCOUNTING Year Course

Accounting is the language of business! Students learn how accounting relates to different careers, learn accounting terminology, concepts, principles, and procedures. The students will use online workings papers and accounting software to complete basic accounting procedures as well as Excel Spreadsheets. Accounting for proprietorships and corporations will be covered as well as corporate and personal money management, ethics, and being productive in the global market place. Students will have an opportunity to join DECA, a student organization focused on marketing, finance, hospitality, and management that promotes competition in these areas. ENGINEERING I Year Course
1st Hour 7:55-8:57 and 2nd Hour 9:01-10:03
Course Description: This engineering course will investigate the different ideas, techniques and strategies used by engineers in creating the amazing things we use every day and the impact they make on our lives. The practical difference between science and engineering will also be investigated. Using the computer lab and manufacturing lab, the student will, through hands-on projects, learn about and then apply the engineering algorithm in 2D and 3D mechanical design techniques, 3D printing, CNC techniques, materials and manufacturing techniques, computer programming, digital sound creation and manipulation, and digital images creation and manipulation.
Special Features of Course: MMC Online Learning Credit, MMC 4th Year Math Credit, MMC Visual and Performing Applied Arts Credit, Articulation Agreement with Ferris State University. Connection with high school FIRST robotics team.
ENGINEERING iI Year Course

The Engineering II course will continue to investigate the different ideas, techniques and strategies used by engineers in creating the amazing things we use every day and the impact they make on our lives. The practical difference between science and engineering will be pursued. Using the computer lab and manufacturing lab, the student will, through hands-on projects, learn about Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Environmental Engineering, Computer Programming, etc. and apply the learned skills in 2D and 3D mechanical design techniques, 3D printing, CNC techniques, materials to, among other projects, design, build, program, and compete with a robot
