Middle School Counselor
F.C. Reed Middle School provides Comprehensive School Counseling to all students 5th – 8th grade that focuses on student outcomes, teach student competencies and are delivered with identified competencies. These competencies promote academic, career and personal/social development, that enhance the learning process for all students. Additional opportunities and referrals are provided to students in a tiered system that offers small group and individual support.
The vision of F.C. Reed Middle School Counseling Department is to support the district vision, “Together. challenging students to succeed,” by educating and empowering each child to prepare them for the challenges of being successful, productive and competent members of a
diverse, ever-changing, global and competitive, 21st-century society. Through continuous evaluation and review of data, school counselors will collaborate to set goals and provide comprehensive guidance programming to help students succeed in a high-performance learning
culture where they will develop the skills and abilities to preempt their success for college, career and life readiness.

Through the delivery of a preventative, developmental, aligned comprehensive program offered to every child in multi-tiered levels of support by professional and licensed school counselors, our mission is to provide every child with the assets necessary to achieve personal success for a lifetime. With an emphasis on safe, respectful, responsible and honest behavior, we seek to encourage and graduate growth-minded students with high academic achievement to become independent, self-motivated, productive, contributing citizens of a global, ever evolving society.
